Quality is king

All our products must pass the rigorous Midland Flooring test

Quality is king at Midland Flooring and every product we use is put through our robust testing procedures to make sure you only get the best available.

New products come to the market all the time and often make great claims about what they will do. We always put those claims to the test and have developed our own rigorous processes which expose any products that don’t meet our high standards.

Any floor you purchase from us will have been subjected to the elements, driven over by Heavy Goods Vehicles and just generally punished to ensure it will stand the test of time.

We are also constantly testing new densifiers and stain protections to make sure that we have the best materials working together without having adverse reactions to each other or the floor itself.

Our products are sourced worldwide to ensure we bring you the latest and the best there is.

Thin Section Polished Concrete

One of our main goals for quite a while has been to offer a thinner depth polished concrete flooring for those renovation projects where it’s not always possible to install a full depth 75mm polished concrete, without the added expense of removing existing screed or concrete floors.

We have been researching thin section polished concrete for around three years, during which time more than 100 different products failed our testing process.

We are pleased to say we have now found one product that we hope will be available very soon after it completes our research and development testing.

As well as giving people the option of polished concrete flooring where previously it may not have been possible, thin section polished concretes also have the added benefit of giving you more control over the colour and finish.

Normal polished concretes are sourced from quarries near the project site itself and therefore can have wide colour variations. As thin section varieties are produced in factories and bagged and shipped to site, the colour and finish is much more uniform. This is especially important for retail or hotel chains, for example, who want all their stores to look the same from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Come and see for yourself

Whatever the product, we just don’t believe in bringing you anything less than the absolute best for your installation. It’s what keeps our customers coming back time and time again.

What’s more, you can come and see our floors for yourself in a large display area at our Midlands base near Birmingham. Nothing quite beats seeing the colours and finish in the ‘flesh’ over a large area.
